Fedex Shipping adjustment almost $500 instead of $54, Sellers check your transactions
FedEx saver one rate it seems like scam. We are FBM book seller since 2011, We ship mostly using USPS and UPS , on April 23 sold and shipped 40 books in 4 boxes. Total sales $444 after amazon fee got $308. Spent $108 in shipping using FedEx saver one rate for the first time because was cheaper $10 than USPS and I made sure the dimension and the weight correct. so I got $200 from this sales.
Yesterday I found out FedEx charged me almost $500 shipping adjustment and they give me different measurement and weight than mine, who will ship 10 books in 22X22X16 box. We don't have this kind of box and we never use them. We ship in boxes 11X17X8. Contacted Amazon they said you have to contact FedEx. Contacted FedEx they said contact Amazon and let them contact us because the charge was under Amazon account. To all sellers check your account transaction daily you will find this charge in expenses under "other" section.
This same issue happened on eBay last month to lot of sellers and eBay backed them and refunded their money.

Hello @Seller_dAwDsgE0KONLn. I am following up with you about this carrier adjustment charge. I apologize for the delay in responding.
Below is our seller help page covering carrier adjustments and some reasons they are applied. As with your shipments, the most common reason is that the carrier-audited information is different than the original label information.
Carrier shipping correction charges
Disputes for carrier-audited shipments must be done through Amazon and not directly with the carrier.
If you can share a Case ID I can take a look and determine if there are steps you can take to escalate the dispute. It would help if the case includes details such as photos, whether all of the boxes in the order were the same size, etc.

Thank you for your patience while we have investigated your questions and disputes of recent carrier correction charges for FedEx Express Saver® One Rate shipments.
We have been working with FedEx to review disputes of carrier-audited dimensions/weights and adjustments. Many of these disputes have been accepted, and these carrier adjustments will be credited back to seller accounts. This is an ongoing process, so please monitor your transactions for possible credits on these shipments. I will provide more information as it becomes available.
FedEx has confirmed the adjustments for some shipments. The maximum box size for FedEx Express Saver® One Rate is 2200 cubic inches and 50 pounds for the "Extra Large Box." If a label was purchased with package dimensions under 2200 cubic inches and 50 pounds but the carrier-audited dimensions/weights were larger, the package no longer qualified for One Rate and a higher rate was applied. It is important to enter accurate package dimensions when purchasing shipping, and to use your own double-checked measurements in cases where the package is right at the limit, as small differences between internal and external dimensions might make a big difference in the available services.
There has been confusion over adjustments for shipments with matching carrier-audited and seller-entered dimensions and weights. In some cases, Seller Central is not displaying updated carrier-audited information. For FedEx, the online tracking for these shipments will show updated dimensions and weights. We are investigating the issue.
I am continuing to work with our partner team on this issue and sharing seller reports and questions.
