AWD Incorrect address on SPD labels for IUSP Hesperia CA
Well this is a fun one. We created a shipment to AWD which was sent by UPS. It is supposed to ship to this address (verified as a massive Amazon warehouse on Google Maps):
IUSP, 8140 Caliente Rd, HESPERIA CA 92344
The shipment is an SPD shipment, but the labels created for us (by Amazon) went to this address:
IUSP, 8141 Caliente Rd, ONTARIO CA 91761
This address does not exist! There doesn't even seem to be a Caliente Road in Ontario.
Current UPS Status: Ontario CA US - Package held by carrier as street name is incorrect or missing. Please contact the carrier to update your address information.
The associated at Amazon was extremely unhelpful, telling me to correct my address, contact UPS etc. They did not seem to take any responsibility or say something reasonable like 'Thank you for reporting this, I will escalate it immediately.'
Can somebody at Amazon reading this please check the address you provide to UPS for IUSP because it is incorrect.
I am trying to contact UPS to see if they will correct the shipment for me, but I can't create any new SPD shipments until someone corrects the address.

I was coming here to raise the same issue. I have three shipments enroute to IUSP in which UPS is reporting the same "Package held by carrier as street name is incorrect or missing. Please contact the carrier to update your address information." error statement is shown on the track shipment tab of the Shipment Summary page (see STAR-TP32MF3EQBNCE, STAR-VE44WWTBYG4Z4 and STAR-SB52YFFMP3MDW).
Further, I opened Seller "Support" Case ID 17100358311 for shipment STAR-TP32MF3EQBNCE as this shipment has been sitting at the UPS station in Ontario for over a week with multiple address correction notices and which UPS states "report 'Information not available' and to 'start a claim to provide a resolution' when tracking the shipment on the UPS website. Seller "support" was, as usual, useless in resolving the matter (but only after making me jump through hoops to needlessly provide inventory ownership documentation, clearly a ruse to delay actually performing their duties). Now, whether as a result of my calls to UPS to determine the problem (most likely), or Seller "supports'" activities (least likely as they didn't actually do anything), the shipment was apparently delivered this morning. Now the focus shifts to monitoring excessive UPS address correction fees due to Amazon's addressing error.
@Topher_Amazon, how is this possible? How does Amazon get the address for its own warehouses incorrect? And while it's best to not worry about what could happen when it comes to Amazon issues, I cannot help but wonder how I'm going to prove to Seller "Support" that potential address correction fees (which if posts on these forums are any gauge, will be in the many-hundred-dollar range despite the fact that UPS charges $13.40 to correct an address) were, in fact, caused by and are Amazon's responsibility?

I finally got someone who at least seemed to acknowledge the problem explicitly.
"We acknowledge the incorrect address shown on the shipping label; however, this is intentional. This is in accordance with the UPS partner carrier program. We can confirm that the tracking information shows the correct address, and the cartons will be received. The carrier is working on fixing this issue. Please wait until the shipment is fully received at the site."
Here's the situation currently:
- The packages have arrived successfully at Hesperia so that is good.
- The only reason the tracking shows the correct address is because someone at UPS manually fixed it (see tracking below)
- It added a completely unnecessary delay of a couple days. It took 5 days when it is Zone 1.
- I printed a new SPD order today and it still had the Ontario address on it.
- I'm still really weary about sending 5 boxes (the minimum) to AWD where it ends up.
It still seems really bizarre. We didn't get this for the SC fulfilllment center. I'm still convinced the address just needs correcting.
I'm sending out 5 more boxes tomorrow and keeping my fingers crossed, but I'm going to add an additional note to the box with the correct address.

Hi all,
For impacted shipments UPS has reported the address issue which has caused these delays. The AWD team has confirmed that the address has been corrected and shipments are now en-route to the destination site. All shipments should successfully be delivered to the site shortly.
