Hello @Seller_3S87DORcFgnbE Thank you for that question about carrier adjustment charges for your shipments.

Are the adjustments based on larger carrier-audited dimensions and weights for the shipments, or are they due to handling charges or other fees?

Carrier shipping correction charges

When you purchase shipping services, the carrier charges are based on the information you provide for the package. Carriers may charge or credit you after the package is shipped in the form of carrier adjustments.

If you share a Case or Order ID I can review the details for those adjustments and determine why the adjustments were applied and if there is a path for you to dispute those adjustments.

Many people have the same thing. I sell one thing, different colors, but same weight. I constantly get charges for more. I give them another $50 a month because they say its overweight by a dollar. My item is 2 oz everyday all day. But I constantly get charged extra.

I asked the postal people and they said they don't have the manpower to request all these adjustments. They would have to hire a team, which wouldn't work. They said its Amazon requesting the extra, and the postal service does not see a dime. I believe them. I cant imagine all these adjustments all across the country.

I have been watching it and considering doing my own postage. I do with the other platforms, and never get an postal overage.

Like I said, the USPS does not request those small amounts. They said its Amazon keeping the extra money. It might be UPS, they are good for that, but I don't use them.

I just pay it and shut up, but what's real is real, but the truth doesn't matter anymore. That's the problem. You can lie & its no big deal. This is not the America I am used to, but here we are. Lies are OK, when your a big company or have control.

Hello @Seller_WBnGS7Ix3XiDX That information is incorrect.

Carrier adjustment charges do not come from Amazon. They are charges from the carriers that Amazon references through to sellers.

USPS runs packages in their network through the Automated Package Verification System (APV). This system helps them to verify for accurate weight, dimensions, service type, origin zone, destination zone, etc.

I constantly have adjustments and the dimensions/weight are exactly the same as estimated vs. scanned at post office. Sometimes, they change 6x2x9 package to a 9x6x2 package but majority of them are exactly the same order dimensions and exact same weight.

Package rates and dimensional and weights are not affected by the order the dimensions are displayed. If there was an adjustment for those orders, it was due to a reason other than a carrier-audited dimension update. Please let me know if you need additional information for those adjustments.

We have been seeing this every three or four checks for at least six months. Some weeks the other charges are $10 or less, some checks they are well over $1,400. 95% of them are for outgoing USPS packages. We do not use Fed-ex. We accurately measure and weigh our packages, use Amazon buy shipping and ship hundreds of identical packages yet all charges are different rates.

We have spoken to our local postmaster who also referred us back to Amazon stating there is nothing that they can do.

There was a time when Amazon buy shipping had an additional $0.30 charge for the declared value. Maybe this is how they are collecting that additional $0.30 per label that most sellers were unaware of.

I have the same issue, I weight the box carefully before shipping out and it's 15 oz. But in my payment transaction, I notice shipping adjustment extra charge of $3.20 more due to incorrect weight from 15oz to 1.06 lb. How can the shipping cost jump $3 more. And there are NO WAY to file a question or submit evidence to fight against the adjustment.
