What's considered late shipping?

Let's say something is set to be shipped by January 16th. I am getting conflicting answers.

Is it late (For your sellers health) when:

A) Printing label is printed after the 16th

B) Printing label is printed on the 16th but scanned by the post office on the 17th

C) Is there a 2-3 day grace period? I have seen someone mention that before.

Trying to understand when exactly Amazon considers something "Late Shipped" regarding your sellers health.

It depends.

If the last "Ship By" date is Jan16, and you print the label on Jan16, then it will not show in your metrics as "Late Shipment", even if not scanned until later.

HOWEVER, if you print the label on Jan16, it gets its first scan on Jan17 (one day late), and the customer files an A-Z for INR, you lose any protection you would receive by using Amazon Shipping, and will lose the A-Z.

If your package is not scanned, in the possession of the carrier, by midnight of the last Ship By date on the order- your metrics will reflect a late shipment.
Ver publicación

My experience indicates that is not the case. I've had several times lately where the carrier for our route (regular carrier is injured; we get whatever sub has time that day) never showed up. Also had times where packages were shipped on time, but not scanned for several days.

While this would affect INR complaints, never has it shown up on metrics for late shipping.

But yes, as you state (and as I said), if it's not scanned on time, you'll lose the A-Z. Thankfully, none of the times where my package did not get scanned did it not get delivered.

I understand you have questions regarding Amazon's late shipment policy. I would like to provide further insight into that policy and resources for you to utilize moving forward.

Per policy, the late shipment rate (LSR) represents orders ship confirmed after the expected ship date as a percentage of total orders, over both a 10-day or a 30-day period. This metric is only applicable to seller-fulfilled orders and must remain under 4% in order to avoid your seller-fulfilled offers being at risk for deactivation. As part of the Order Performance program policy, it is aimed to assist sellers in bettering their business on Amazon and provide the best buyer experience possible.

All products must be scanned and confirmed at the same time and prior to the ship-by date on the order itself. You also need to ensure all information is accurately provided in the shipping details to avoid possible further impacts to your LSR and valid tracking rate.

There is no grace period, as it is ideal that sellers are constantly monitoring their orders and have a management system in place to ensure packages are shipped and scanned on time. See more information here.

What is your current order handling capacity? What about your handling time? If either of these are creating an issue for you or there are any changes you are able to make to these, please do so.

Please continue to utilize this thread for questions about this issue, as the forums community and I are here to support you!
