Is there a way to have the order 'cancelled' before the carrier comes for pickup without having it affect my metrics?

You can review the order cancellation FAQ, along with the process for cancelling an order to determine if there is any method specific to your order for doing so. My colleauge @Quincy_Amazonalso posted this overview of returns and replacement options recently, in case you choose to solely refund the order as you still have the product!
