I am adding a Generic product and I'm listing my product in the existing listing. But when I type in the product Asin it gives me an error that I need to create a new product. But the problem is that, in 2023 you could just paste in the Generic product Asin and start selling the same product in the existing listing. please help.

I'm sorry you have had difficulties listing your generic product. At this time the Generic Product Policy has changed. As mentioned in your error message:
Error code 5886
You cannot change a product detail page; or add offers on another seller’s generic product, or copy the product detail page to another store. If you want to sell a generic product, create a new product by following the process as outlined in Add Products.
You will need to create a new listing and ASIN for your Generic Product. Thank you for your understanding.
