Forced Amazon Ground Shipping
Here is the result of forced Amazon Ground Shipping:
Buyers are likely to get their orders later.
My carrier comes at unpredictable times, so I start early and move as fast as I can to get my orders out. When I use Amazon "Buy" shipping, and go to print labels in bulk, I am delayed by all the orders for which Amazon bypasses my preference and tries to force Amazon Ground on me. One by one I have to manually try to change them to USPS Ground Advantage. That takes time. Kind of defeats the benefit of "bulk". Some of the orders won't allow for me to change it back to USPS. So I pull these out of the pile and put them at the bottom of the pile to enter manually using my USPS software, after the orders for which I was not harassed have been shipped.
So the extra time it takes means more orders won't be ready when the carrier comes, and so won't be picked up for another day. The ones at the bottom of the pile that I had to enter manually - the ones on which they try to FORCE Amazon Ground - are the ones most likely to go a day later.
I won't entertain the idea of using Amazon Ground shipping. The incompetence I witness of this service when they "try" to deliver to me convinces me that I don't want them touching my customer's orders.
So who wins here? Not me. Not the customer.
Just E Pluribus Unum (of many, one) example of how this company is imploding within.
