Coupons and Bundles

I am trying to determine if coupons apply to virtual bundles... Let me explain.

I am currently running Coupons on each of my products.

Separately... I am seeing a trend that people are buying two sizes together, SO, I would like to create a virtual bundle of two of the products and will offer a 5% discount for purchasing the bundle.

My question is... Will the discounts double up? Meaning if I create a virtual bundle with products that already have a coupon, will the customer be able to clip the coupon AND also get a 5% bundle discount on top of that?

OR is the Virtual Bundle a separate item and the coupons will not affect the bundle?

I DON'T want to accidentally offer the customer a double discount!

When creating coupons, Amazon has the same fear.

So they have this message on the page.

Avoid overlapping Coupons!

Products should be part of 1 coupon at a time to prevent combining discounts and risk of going over your budget.

A virtual bundle is "its own product with its own ASIN" but with double the FBA fee. As long as you create your coupon with just the virtual bundle ASIN, you can create another coupon with just the individual ASIN and make sure that your settings reflect that its a single use coupon that can only be used with that ASIN.

Finally, I have never seen a successful virtual bundle. I would suggest bundling it up yourself, instead of creating a virtual bundle. The FBA fees are lower.
