Amazon Global Selling

Has anyone had any luck establishing a Global Selling account? I have a US based account and went through the steps to create a UK account since that's where I want to sell a few of my products, but it wouldn't allow me to merge the accounts and I was told I needed to close the UK account since I'm based in the US. I closed the UK account and attempted to follow separate instructions of establishing a global presence with my US account but continuously receive a "Please start the registration in the new Amazon store with a different e-mail id" error.

Seller Support actually has no knowledge of how to successfully establish a Global Selling account outside of simply sending help articles which of course I've already read.

If anyone has any insight into what might be my issue that would be great.

Many years ago, you needed a separate email account, but I thought they made changes. But there is also the VAT situation which is the real situation that you should look into first.

Who is paying the VAT? Do you need to work with an accountant to make sure VAT is paid on time. This cost me thousands for nothing, so I would look into this situation first. Its no joke when they charge your card monthly for hundreds, when you asked them to cancel.

Just my advice. I am still paying on that card years later, for nothing. One of those Buyer Beware situations.

Once you close a previously registered seller account, you will have to use a new e-mail and phone number. We do not have the ability to delete that information from our system.

Upon reviewing your account, I do see that the account you are posting from is fully activated. Also, please review our global registration help page for more information as well.
