Set minimum inventory thresholds for AWD auto-replenishment

Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) is a low-cost bulk storage solution that distributes your inventory to our stores and non-Amazon sales channels. AWD's auto-replenishment capability ensures your Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) inventory is kept in stock.

Based on your feedback, we've updated the auto-replenishment feature so that you can now set both minimum and maximum FBA inventory thresholds for your SKUs.

Once you've set the thresholds, we'll automatically initiate replenishment shipments on your behalf. The auto-replenishment feature maintains your FBA inventory position, including on-hand and in-transit, per your set thresholds.

The threshold feature is particularly useful for the following scenarios:

  • Steady-demand products
  • Seasonal products
  • New product launches
  • Items sold through Buy with Prime
  • Signature brand products

If you use auto-replenishment, and you don’t set a minimum or maximum threshold, we'll initiate replenishment shipments to meet optimal FBA inventory level as determined by our model.

To set up your auto-replenishment thresholds, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Inventory, and select Warehousing and Distribution (AWD).
  2. Click View inventory or Move inventory.
  3. Select the target SKUs.
  4. Go to the FBA replenishment column, and select Auto-replenishment.
  5. Set your minimum and maximum thresholds.
  6. Monitor your performance, and adjust your thresholds as you deem necessary.

Note that if you set minimum FBA inventory thresholds, your products will be ineligible for storage utilization surcharge and long-term storage fee waivers for 90 days. Since you'll have direct control over inventory levels, you'll be responsible for inventory decisions and associated FBA costs.

For more information, go to Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) inventory.
