Are you using a true CREDIT card? Or are you trying to use a DEBIT card that is linked to your bank account.

Amazon has no problems charging your debit card for the fees, but they want to see that you have a CREDIT card before letting you sell.

As Picks_by_Nisha advised, confirm you're using a credit rather than debit card.

If you are using a true credit card and still having trouble, try entering the credit card from the buyer side; Amazon created a buying account associated with your seller account when you opened your account. Enter the card in that buyer account, wait 24 hours, then update your seller account with the same card.

Hello @Seller_zA66QrQGvB8PF,

Thank you for your post. Welcome to Amazon Forums. I would like to help assist but will need more information. Would you be able to let me know what the notice was from Amazon as to why your account was deactivated?

Until then, one of the most common reasons is not having a valid credit card on file.

Check the below information related to your credit card:

  • Is the credit card valid?
  • Is there a minimum charge amount?
  • Are you using a pre-paid card? (Note: Use of a pre-paid card is not accepted for a selling account.)
  • Does the bank have a record of the charge attempt?
  • Are there bank limits or policies that prevent the charge attempt from being authorized?
  • Is there any incorrect credit card information entered? (Note: All the credit card information entered such as number, name, address, ZIP code, or expiration date must be an exact match with your card details.)
  • Is this chargeable in the currency of the Amazon marketplace where you registered your seller account?

Until the card verification problem is resolved, Amazon won't be able to process any payments for your account.

Note: Only the primary account owner can make changes related to payment information.

Accepted credit or debit cards

We accept the following credit or debit cards:

  • American Express
  • Diners Club
  • Discover
  • JCB
  • MasterCard
  • Visa

Note: We do not accept alternative charge methods, such as prepaid cards, gift certificates, checks, or online payment systems like PayPal.

Please let me know if you have any concerns or still need assistance.

Cheers,

Micah
