Amaozn incorrectly telling more than half of customers that their item is running late

We send many small & light orders with USPS First Class Mail. Although this service does not have tracking it is exempt from VTR by Amazon and allows us to price our items much more competitively. However Amazon is incorrectly telling every customer that their shipment is "On the way, but running late" after the expected delivery date has passed. Right below that message there is a big button to contact USPS (which would be useless). This is incorrect, confusing for the 98% of honest customers, add unnecessary hassle, and incentivizes fraud for the other 2%.

It seems like such an easy win for Amazon if they simply write "This order was shipped with a service that does not provide tracking. It should arrive by <promise date>. Contact the seller if it does not arrive by then.".

If someone from Amazon sees this, order 113-3340936-7337030 is an example but I can provide thousands more.

Yes, it is an execrable practice. But you are not going to change Amazon.

You just have to decide if the practice of shipping without tracking is making you money, or costing.

I would send a polite email to all customers telling them that the Amazon tracking bot is temporarily misaligned, and that they should ignore it.

Hi @Seller_Mfzg0fucOiPS0,

Thank you for reaching out about this! I apologize for the frustration this has caused.

When you have a moment, can you please send me your Seller Support case IDs for this situation? I'd be happy to take a further look into those correspondences to see how I can best help here!

Thanks again,

Jameson
