Adjustment on USPS Return Label
Buyer returned the order is exactly the same way we shipped it to them. Cost of return label by USPS was $3.64 and we received a refund for it since the buyer selected "bought by mistake" reason. All fine, except 2 weeks later, we get an adjustment of $0.33 for return label cost of $3.97 which is not much but just trying to understand why as we are getting this extra charge. The details for the charge say "The shipping services purchased for the package did not match the carrier-reported charge for shipping the package." But then it shows the same package dimensions and weight for both "Customer Entered Dimensions" & "Carrier Audited Dimensions." So it can't be that the label should have cost more as the values were correct from the beginning. When I try to buy a similar label right now, it also comes up as $3.64 which matches the original charge. So where did the extra $0.33 come from?

Hello @Seller_GQFPzQ31dyQYi There a few different reasons why sellers may see a carrier adjustment for shipping.
The most common reason is a difference in dimensions or weights between the seller-entered and carrier-audited information.
However, for UPS shipments there can also a fuel surcharge that's applied when the cost of fuel required for delivery exceeds the originally calculated amount.
There are USPS adjustments that are related to differences in zone pricing. For some orders Amazon Buy Shipping may incorrectly calculate the zone tier for the destination location at the time the label is purchased, and this is corrected by USPS. This can lead to a small adjustment, like you are reporting.
