We initiated a refund...
I have had an increase of automatic refunds being initiated by Amazon with no questions asked. In some cases the buyer has me blocked so I cannot even ask them a question. The ones I have messaged will not respond. Some of these are also not showing up in the "refund" area of seller central which makes it harder to even keep track of these. I have had so many people make fake claims. This is extremely disappointing. I can't even file a Safe T Claim because they will never return the item. Why would they? I have worked very hard to build my business up and provide the buyers with quality products and shipping materials so it arrives safely. Where is our protection?

Do you have Customer Service by Amazon (CSBA) turned on for your account? If so, that could be your issue because they love to just issue refunds to appease customers.

Hello @Seller_mKyWHA5HP8xnO
Thank you for posting your inquiry to the Forums.
I understand that you have received return requests that were auto authorized by Amazon. In this case, were the orders refunded at first scan or refunded via Customer Service by Amazon? The reason I ask is because you may be eligible for a reimbursement via SAFE-T Claim if the buyer did not return the product, even though the buyer has received a refund. Whether or not an item has been returned is determined by either of the following:
- a lack of a "Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)" for the particular return item, or
- a lack of a carrier’s "first scan"
Please feel free to update this thread if you need assistance regarding a specific SAFE-T Claim and I can review the information provided.
Regards,
