medical devices : fraudulent five-star reviews
We are deeply concerned about the suspicious activity surrounding the listings for the following products. On their very first day of sale, these listings amassed an unusually high number of five-star reviews, all boasting a perfect 5.0 rating. This abnormal surge in positive reviews has raised serious suspicions of review manipulation.
We discovered that all these glowing five-star reviews originate from their respective child ASINs. What's perplexing is that these various-colored child ASINs have never been sold on the market. Furthermore, medical devices typically don't come in so many colors. How, then, did they manage to garner so many five-star reviews?
We strongly suspect that these brands are engaging in illicit practices by manipulating buyer accounts to post fraudulent five-star reviews, and then exploiting Amazon's variation relationships to aggregate these reviews.
The uniformity in the pattern of manipulation across these listings is undeniable. Therefore, we kindly urge Amazon to conduct a thorough investigation into these variation relationships and uncover the truth behind how these child ASINs, which have never been sold, received five-star reviews.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we eagerly await your investigative response.

@Michelle_Amazon
Dear Michelle, thank you for our investigation.
Seller_B2LhieMWlYX6Q
OKLAR, NOUYAN, PEAKME, and ASTART, all originate from the same consortium of interests, as evidenced by the fact that they share the same sellers. These beneficiaries employ manipulation tactics by selling identical medical devices under different brand names (even the images are identical), abusing Amazon's variation relationship system. They persistently engage in the same deceptive practices to manipulate all benefiting listings under their brands.
This behavior egregiously violates the Selling policies and seller code of conduct. We strongly urge Amazon to initiate an investigation into these brands.

It's amazing that all the benefiting listings from these brands could establish variation relationships and garner five-star reviews solely on their first day of sale. Why these variation items (different colors of child asins) manage to achieve such remarkable five-star ratings is highly suspicious. We strongly suspect that the beneficiaries are engaging in review manipulation by using multiple buyer accounts to post five-star reviews for their various brand products. Ultimately, they exploit the variation relationships to aggregate these reviews, manipulating the sales and rankings of the benefiting ASINs under each different brand.

Has any Amazon staff seen my post?

I appreciate this post! We see the same thing in our category (pest control devices), brand new listings for Temu junk products that somehow already have hundreds of reviews and an average 4.5-star rating.
I would love to see Amazon enforce its own rules on some of these blatant scammers.

Take B0CTC7MLVD for example, simply open the first review page on the listing detail page, and you'll find that each account shows abnormal activity on their profile pages.
It's clearly that these buyer accounts are manipulated. The buyer accounts that have posted five-star reviews for these lisings (including variation child asins) either have profile pages set to "has no activity to share" or show purchases of blood pressure monitors from these brands accompanied by five-star reviews.

Seller_B2LhieMWlYX6Q
I believe these accounts are all held and manipulated by benefiting sellers. They simulate genuine buyer purchasing behavior, buying various products and providing 1-4 star reviews, but always giving their own blood pressure monitor products a full five-star rating.
Is it possible that Amazon's review regulatory system is lagging behind and unable to detect such manipulative behavior?
The path to "report abuse" is practically non-existent. Once a complaint is submitted, it gets rejected instantly, and there's no way to input so many characters, let alone provide evidence! This gives unethical sellers an opportunity to take advantage. The brands identified so far include Oklar, NOUYAN, PEAKME, ASTART, DOUHAO, FENGHOU, AOJOO and MMIZOO. Please note that MMIZOO (B07XYW52VQ) is the best seller in this medical category!
These brands have almost monopolized the blood pressure monitor category using these unethical manipulation tactics! It's ironic that unsuspecting buyers still rely on these five-star reviews to purchase their own blood pressure monitors.
What can Amazon do about this???
Seller_Gfj1xaFVVxNnz
We are in the business of selling medical devices, and it's astonishing to observe how certain brands have managed to dominate specific categories, essentially monopolizing that category, and this is happening across many other categories than blood pressure monitors. Amazon, which, rather than offering a level playing field, seems to be devolving into a less credible space cluttered with questionable sellers, that promote in-authentic garbage. It's time for the staff and sellers of amazon to start a comprehensive cleanup to restore the integrity and trustworthiness of this platform that is so called, fair market. Emergence of monopolies not only stifles competition but also limits choices for consumers, potentially impacting the quality and innovation in the offerings due to large differences in reviews. A concerted effort to address and rectify these unfair acts that clearly violate amazons policies would be greatly beneficial for the entire ecosystem, fostering an environment where authenticity, quality, and innovation can thrive, and to promote small-businesses to use platforms like AMAZON!!!!!
