What's going on? Is this e-mail a SCAM???
I received an e-mail - supposedly from Amazon - today asking me to identify myself. As I began to go through the questions, they wanted my birth date (that's where I stopped) and the survey also wanted a photo ID, my passport and a bank account! What is going on? I have been selling on Amazon for 13 years. I have never received any such requests from Amazon before. I tried to include the e-mail, but I was not allowed to do it by the Forum rules.
Please let me know if others are receiving this e-mail and if it is legitimate. It sounds suspicious to me.

Probably a pshising email. One easy way to see is to look at the actual 'from' address. I bet it's not from an amazon dot com email.

So I filled out info. because it was on amazon page . I made sure I logged in first. that's were I had to update my info. Really hopping I did not mess up and get caught in a scam.

I literally JUST had this happen to me now. It seems legitimate as you can access it through Amazon's dashboard - Account Info. They are "re-verifying". I've been selling 15 years. Nothing has happened on my account that would've prompted it, must be something they are doing.

The sending mail address is <no-reply@amazon.com>. When I go to my seller account page (after logging in) the notification is there. So, this is legit?

yes, I just got a similar email... selling over 10 years!!. It's legit.. I too thought it was a scam but it is under my dashboard. As always when it comes to Amazon I'm nervous. Yes my account is legit but I'm always nervous something can go wrong and I'm currently unemployed so Amazon is my only income.. hoping it's quick and painless!!! My only question is do I register as an individual or business as a sole proprietorship?! I love the way Amazon puts CHOOSING THE WRONG OPTION CAN CAUSE YOUR ACCOUNT TO BE DEACTIVATED..

Hi @Seller_8cIsVssvO29X6,
Dominic from Amazon here. I would echo what @Seller_AXC06kcsKI1qG posted:
I would also check Performance Notifications and the Case Log. Amazon will usually communicate with you via those communication lines.
Best,
Dominic

For those who did the re-verification, what did they ask for?
Apart from a passport copy and probably bank statements?
Thanks

Good Afternoon @BooksKitty - I just wanted to follow up with you to let you know that it looks like you have successfully completed your re-verification and should be good to go.
