Amazon brand registration failed, lawyer is not the issue!
Hello everyone,
I recently encountered a problem while registering my brand on Amazon and I hope to get some help here.
Amazon sent me an email telling me that there was a problem with my trademark's agent lawyer, but my lawyer is not aware of any issue. I have confirmed that my lawyer is a licensed US lawyer and has no negative records or penalties on the USPTO website.
I am very confused about this because I don't know where the problem is. I have tried to contact Amazon customer service, but they have not provided any useful information. I am now worried that my brand registration will be delayed or rejected.

This is the email reply I received from Amazon:
Your Brand Registry enrollment application has been rejected.
Why did this happen?
Please note that the USPTO requires foreign domiciled applicants or registrants to be represented by a U.S. licensed attorney. This rule was designed to improve the quality of trademark submissions by U.S. attorneys who are bound by ethical rules to follow the USPTO rules of professional conduct and their state bar codes of conduct. Attorneys suspected of misconduct may be investigated by the USPTO. If you are working through an intermediary, rather than directly with a US licensed attorney, to seek a US trademark registration or enrollment into brand registry, your application may be subject to additional scrutiny by Amazon and the USPTO. Before hiring an attorney or a trademark service company, check whether they are subject to an Order for Sanctions from the USPTO or listed as an entity on the Potentially Misleading Solicitations webpage. I don't know if they are still having problems but you will find a large number of issues like this in Forum posts over the past several weeks/months.
There were MANY attorneys being reported for having been sanctioned when that was not the case. I REALLY hope they are good enough at their law practices to be able to sue Amazon for defamation in all those cases.
It appears that the BOTS that Amazon uses are pretty useless for some/many tasks.

Can you find the appeal button on your application? If you find it just click it and provide documents they need. I got this message when I filed the application and the abusive account issue (which I was so confused because my account health is perfect)
After provide the documents Brand Registry team just reviewed it and then I passed (after sending in more pictures of my brand and took 3 weeks to be done) I think it is an error message or something. They didn't ask me about the lawyer issue or any abusive.
Anyway, I checked my lawyer and she checked with USPTO they said she had no issue.
I think you just appeal with the documents they ask for and not mention the message.
