Deactivating an account after changing the account name
Hello. I ask for help on how I can deactivate my account from renaming my account. In June 2022, I created an account and named it "Sbitok". This is my only account, I don’t have and never have had any others. I didn't really like the name, so I changed the account name to "LikeCost". In December 2022, I received a letter from Amazon Seller about the deactivation of my Sbitok account. It was strange, but I did not respond to this letter because I did not see any changes in my account. The account has been active for almost a year without any problems. In November 2023, I received a letter from Amazon Seller about the deactivation of my "LikeCost" account. The reason for deactivation was stated - supposedly I have a second "Sbitok" account and in order to solve the problem I was asked to deactivate the "Sbitok" account. But I can’t do this because it’s the same account! And I can’t get my old account name back, I get a message that the name “Sbitok” is already taken. How should I deal with this situation? Amazon Seller support seems no hear me, they think that I have two accounts and I should deactivate the "Sbitok" account.

Hello @Seller_BaWjfk5elLdZo
Thank you for the information provided regarding the association between your account and the other one that was previously created. I understand that you previously created the account “Sbitok” and then changed the named. When you initially registered the account, did you only register in the North American region? We would recommend checking to see if you have any markets registered in the European and other far east regions.
If the messaging indicates the previously created account, it may be that another market that still shares the name has been deactivated. In this situation, you will need to reactivate the impacted market to reactivate your US market. To verify your registered markets, check your services under your account information.
If this is not your situation or you have additional details, continue to refer to this thread for additional support.
Best,
Atlas
