Correcting GS1 prefix - UPC linkage with Registered Brand

Cases 15617359481 and 15850026151

We are Brand Registered and have supplied USPTO trademark certificates and GS1 prefix certification in the cases cited. We were trying to get Brand Registry protection extended per those cases. However Amazon support is asking us to provide a Letter of Authorization that the "Legal Entity [name in case - indicating ownership of the GS1 prefix] is authorized by the Brand {us = the trademark holder] to list products with your own barcodes".

The Legal Entity noted is not affiliated with our company. Due to an error by GS1 which they have acknowledged to us, that brand was temporarily listed by GS1 as the prefix owner. GS1 corrected that issue in 2021, and our company/Brand is again shown correctly as the GS1 prefix owner. This is shown by the GS1 certificate in the case and on GS1's website.

Can you help us straighten this out?

@Dougal_Amazon As you suggested yesterday in the Business Verification Event. Sorry this wasn't on topic - thanks for your help.

thank you.

Hi @Seller_vKH2YDpdKTOPK,

Dougal here and thanks for the case ID's and your patience in my response.

According to the 2 case ID's you provided, you were requesting to connect your UK and EU TM's to the brand in Brand Registry.

If that is why you wrote in here, the TM's are connected. If you log into Brand Registry and click on "Manage," from the top menu and then select "Manage intellectual properties," you can select the brand name you want to review. When selecting the brand name mentioned in those cases, I see several connect TM's from Canada, US, UK and EU.

Please let me know if this was not your question or issue.

Best, Dougal
