Flood of Suspected Trademark Misuse for City Names?

We sell travel themed stickers on Amazon, featuring country and city names and have done so for almost a year. Suddenly, today, we received a flood of "Suspected intellectual Property Violations" for the use of names of a city which is not trademarked? Current count is 52 and rising.

We were flagged for "Cleveland" "Amsterdam" "Ibiza" "Dublin" "Philadephia" and more keep coming.

Im guessing this was done by a bot. Our products all focus on cities, states and countries and clearly are not violating any trademark as the names are public. How can I get this resolved? I understand brands with city names exist but using the name of a city in a product is not violating trademark.

Hello @Seller_8ZAfBIO2vm5Az,

Thank you for reaching out. I hope all is well.

"We sell travel themed stickers on Amazon, featuring country and city names and have done so for almost a year. Suddenly, today, we received a flood of "Suspected intellectual Property Violations" for the use of names of a city which is not trademarked? Current count is 52 and rising."

From the information you have provided, I see that you have received a big amount of Suspected intellectual Property Violations.

Per our intellectual property policy for sellers, all sellers must comply with all federal, state and local laws and amazon policies and may not violate the IP rights of brands or other rights owners. The 3 main types of IP rights are copyright, trademark and patent.

To address the violations, you may edit the listing and remove the trademark, or click on the " How do I address this issue " in the violation page and use the contact us hyper link to create a case if you believe your listing was incorrectly removed. If you have already created a case about this issue you are facing, we would like to look into it further and see what we can do to assist you. Please provide case ID(s) here in this thread for reference.

If you have additional questions or concerns, please let us know here in this thread.

Best wishes,

Cade

Same here.

Someone else suggested opening a case and saying "Escalate to catalog team". We seem to be getting somewhere with that... fingers crossed.

"Escalate to catalog team" didn't work, never mind. We're wasting our time here. We sell more on other platforms anyway.
