Working for myself and being able to pay my bills! I started my laser business back in 2008 and sold at shows and the other two "E" places but have never made the money like I can on Amazon. I have time for beekeeping, making maple syrup, gardening, my dogs and other things. All thanks to Amazon!

Having spent so many years previously in the corporate world, what I appreciate most about being a business owner is that I can fully reap what I sow. When mistakes are made, I feel the impact acutely and can learn from them quickly and memorably. When I make a good decision, have an idea to try, or a risk to take; I fully benefit from and celebrate the progress made. It is like playing a really fun, immersive, and high stakes video game!

Design the new and novelty thing which I can't buy from the market, and sell to those people like me.

You know, for me, the best part of being my own boss or a seller is just owning my time and direction. No more meaningless reports to superiors or stressing over boring KPIs. I call the shots, decide how to manage my time and resources, and focus on what really moves the needle for my business. It's that mix of freedom and responsibility that really lights me up
