Restrictions on Our ACCOUNT for Shoes, Handbags & Sunglasses products.
Hello Everyone,
On June 3rd, we received an email from Amazon informing us that we can no longer list and sell products in the Shoes, Handbags & Sunglasses category. This is a significant issue for us, as approximately 70% of our sales volume comes from this category, and we have been selling on Amazon for over nine years. We employ a staff of 20 to support our Amazon business.
Currently, we are unable to ship products in this category to FBA, nor can we create any new listings. We have contacted Seller Support (Case IDs: 15390376131, 15389373421, 15388207331) and Account Health (Case ID: 15389532451). Unfortunately, the responses from Seller Support have been generic, and the Account Health representative has stated that there is no clear reason for the restriction from their end.
We have been unable to find a solution or any rationale for this decision. Our products are sourced directly from the brands. We currently have about 30,000 units in FBA within the affected category.
We are seeking guidance on how to resolve this issue and return to normal operations. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.
We are seeking the help of a community manager @Josh_Amazon @Stevie_Amazon so they can escalate this issue and help us find a solution.

Hello,
As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible customer experience, we have implemented additional restrictions for Shoes, Handbags & Sunglasses products.
Effective 2024-08-02, you will not be able to list the affected products, and your listings will be removed. This action does not impact your account health.
How can I reinstate my listings?
You are not approved to list Shoes, Handbags & Sunglasses products and we are currently not accepting applications.
Were your listings removed as a result of an error?
If you believe your products have been misclassified within a certain category or sub-category that requires approval, please contact Selling Partner Support with evidence, such as product pictures, to support this claim. Amazon will review your claim and make a final determination that will ensure the best shopping experience for our customers.
What happens if I do not take action?
If no action is taken, the affected listings will not be available for sale in the Amazon store.
Can I sell my remaining FBA inventory?
If you have remaining inventory of the affected products in Amazon fulfillment centers, you may continue selling your remaining inventory until 2024-08-02. After this date, you will need to create a removal order. For help in creating a removal order, see the following: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/200280650.

Amazon continues to make changes to their policies and requirements and this is just another step.
Look at the number of book sellers that have been removed because the brands have gated their entire catalogs, including used items.
At least they have given you a two month notice. That is two months longer than a lot of sellers have received for their items.
If you haven't been selling on other sites you now have 60 days +/_ to get moving!
"You are not approved to list Shoes, Handbags & Sunglasses products and we are currently not accepting applications."
That is the final word from Amazon. Good luck elsewhere.

Who could give you guidance? I read the forum daily the last four years and I have never seen this, so most probably you will not find anyone to guide you.
Yes, we are all in Amazon's hands and our businesses are hanging by a thread.
Don't hope that Amazon will change their mind and establish immediately your business on several other platforms.

Have you spoken to seller support? I found account health support can make notes but with the major issues that are not from our doing, they have no idea. I am being sent to seller support - by them.
Chat with seller support and see if you can find out more information on it and what is going on and what you can do to continue your listings.
(Note, this isn't emailing them via case - emails are mostly bot responses)

Added comment -- I asked about this on a different forum (where sellers ask other sellers questions) and one long term seller said they started seeing some questions about this about a week ago so you are NOT alone.
Another helpful seller there chimed in with these recent posts on the Forum.

Other sellers in the category should start preparing for the worst case scenario since it sounds as if Amazon may be doing a rolling blockade!

Hello,
No updates as of yet. I have opened a new case with seller support, Case ID 15419831111 and hopefully this one goes someone. They are engaging another team to see if they can help provide a resolution.
I was told by @Josh_Amazon to create this forum post so they can engage other leadership. Hopefully we can make some progress.

What companies are you selling? We have received the same notice and are trying to find a common denominator.

Only people that do not now how to operate a real business still uses FBA, FBA is for people that are clueless. FBA as of now is only beneficial to chinese sellers as they pay much lower fees then US Based sellers.

The big wigs no longer want small sellers so the New World Order can take over. The rich people will control everything and we will be a communist country

You are an authorized dealer of all your products. I would get a lawyer and show them that you are authorized to sell. Also get letters from the companies you work with confirming you can sell on Amazon.
