fake cease and desist letter
Just got a fake cease and desist letter from another seller. I contacted my lawyer and he reached out to the lawyer that was on the letter that was sent to me. This has to be a new low from a seller but this seller has a very bad track record. My question is how can I involve amazon in this process because they used amazon ASIN and other information that is linked to amazon. I know it is near impossible to get amazon on the phone or email but this seller should not be allowed to sell on the platform when they are sending out illegal letters to other sellers. thanks

How was it fake, if your lawyer was able to make contact with their lawyer?

If you don't give more details nobody can answer or advice. Is this YOUR brand or someone else's brand? Do you have a "Letter of Authorization" from the brand owner or not? Is this lawyer representing the brand owner or another seller?

The seller in question copied a original letter chaged a few words and sent it to me. The lawyers name he used was real but the lawyer he used was not aware of the letter being sent to me. basically he copied a cease letter and sent it to me. my lawyer talked to the other lawyer and i think the lawyer is very upset. its a crazy story. just want this seller to vanish
