Search Suppression - How to search through these items when adding products?

Hello everyone,

I'm mostly a seller of single trading cards (Pokemon Cards for example) and noticed that a majority of these listings are search suppressed because of a missing product description (That's a whole other issue but that's not the reason for this question).

Is there any way to search for these items even though they're search suppressed? I've noticed that when looking through the "Add Products" area that because the item is search suppressed, they don't appear when searching even though the product does exist... also since they're single cards, a UPC number does not exist for them. Once the search suppression is corrected, they do show up in the add product area when searched for.

I wouldn't want to create a new listing for a card that already exists in the Amazon catalogue but because of a search suppression, I'm unable to see if it exists or not.

An example of an ASIN would be this Butterfree Pokemon card: B09ZKMDSS6

If you search through the ASIN, it will appear in the search results of the Add Product page. However, if you search the EXACT title "Butterfree - 003/264 - Holo Rare - Sword & Shield - Fusion Strike" it won't come up at all. Searching for alternations of the title won't have it appear either. However, once the search suppression is corrected, then it will start to appear in search results without having to search with the exact ASIN number.

So, is there a way to search through suppressed listings? I know it's possible at times to find them through Google searches (which is how I found this Butterfree card example to use) but I don't know if there's any easier or alternative way.

Thanks!

Hi there @Seller_xeDdQgRH5VZwO,

Based on my experience, without a product identifier (ASIN/UPC/GTIN) it will be difficult to add a product that is search suppressed or otherwise unlisted. If you create a similar product and identify that it is a duplicate later you can request that the listings be merged by Amazon, but only if the products match exactly. I'm sorry I'm not able to assist further. Thank you for your understanding.
