Shipping Settings Automation picking shipping method not set in my template
In the last week or so, Amazon has been switching from using USPS 1st Class shipping as I have set in my template, to FedEx Ground, which I have not set in this template.
Is this happening to anyone else?
The Amazon Support team does not understand that by doing this Amazon is selecting a shipping method that is faster and more expensive than what I have set, which goes against the "Shipping Settings Automation" rules that clearly states: "Enabling Shipping Settings Automation will not push you to select faster ship methods"...but it has been doing this....

Same thing happened to us this morning. Goodbye first class options, hello a requirement to deliver within 2 days using UPS. Amazon always finds a way to "help us" into a loss. I changed back our settings.

That is exactly what it does. It's been reported over and over again that certain shipping options are removed when Amazon deems that shipping method to be too slow or make the package not arrive on time.
If you want to regain control you need to turn off SSA

Too bad it doesn't say "WILL NOT"

As stated, you have to TURN OFF SSA (Shipping Settings Automation), as Amazon has BROKE shipping when they made it live last week.
It's IGNORING your shipping rules, and is LOCKING your transit time to whatever "estimate" they're using for delivery time.
It's COMPOUNDED by some artificial 2p shipping CUTOFF that they're also enforcing with this... so you might find that you can buy a STANDARD shipping label in the morning, but are then SCREWED by afternoon when the "cutoff" has passed.
WAY TO GO, AMAZON! o_O
