Any recourse? $1400 item, $300 shipping cost, return reason "damaged" returned in perfect condition
Customer ordered a huge pond filter system. The $1400 item cost $300 to ship to CA. We received a return notice that the item and the package were damaged. Amazon gave him labels to return the 3 boxes. It arrived back today in PERFECT condition. Even the boxes were in great shape for their total 6000 mile round trip.
Do I have any way, in accordance with Amazon policies, to withhold any amount from this return?
Please let me know your thoughts.

Hello! @Seller_kl5Xe6kEg2gLe
This is Roberto. Thank you for using the Forums, this is indeed a good question, as per our Restocking Fees guidelines if the item is received in original condition and within the return policy, you are not allowed to charge restocking fees:
Based on the details of the return, the buyer claimed that the damage could've been caused by the carrier. If you are able to identify any sort of damage, you may be able to file a claim with the carrier, see more details in the help page below:
Optional coverage for loss or damage
If you have additional questions, don't hesitate to contact our Seller Support team.
