Handling time should be two days!

I've been selling on Amazon for roughly 15 years. I'm not new to this game. But for all the time I've been selling, I've always had a standard two days handling time. I typically ship on Tues, Thurs and Sat. Though I've been known to add an extra shipment here and there if time permits through the week.

But starting this past April, Amazon has begun randomly picking an order and only giving it one day handling time. I've called them and we went over my account settings and, according to them, they're all correct. I should be getting two days handling time each and every time. They've tried blaming it on the time of day the orders come in, but when compared to other orders that come in both before and after and sometimes even in between, they all give me the two days handling time. So they're forced to admit that it's not the time of day as all evidence says otherwise.

I've had this issue escalated and they've been literally working on it for over a month. Today it happened again. Two orders just randomly have one day handling time but there are orders between those orders that have two days. I've done nothing differently with anything on any of them. All settings are correct. It doesn't happen every day. It's totally random. A week or two can pass before it happens again. That two happened today is both remarkable and extremely frustrating.

It wouldn't be too big a deal except I get marked as having shipped a package late if I happen to not notice this random single order that only gave me one day handling time.

Have you checked what you have your handling time set to in your shipping settings and on the listing itself? Do you use any 3rd party inventory apps that could be changing the handling time?

my post could be your post word for word. We got one order this morning at 3:27 AM and it now says "verge of late shipment" if it's not shipped today. We can and will ship today but this is the first time an order came in without 2 day handling

Same thing here. I have been bounced around on several calls for the last 3-4 hours today and it's an absolute nightmare. Orders flagged as late because they were not processed until the next day, even though the order came through at 11 PM Eastern. Plus, Amazon uses Zulu time, so you will be flagged as late because you don't meet their time cutoff... no one at Amazon seems to understand that the USPS, UPS, etc. are not open at 6:59 AM Zulu Time (2:59 AM Eastern time).

This is not even mentioning the fact that I NEVER EFFING SELECTED AUTOMATED HANDLING TIME IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Right now, they are trying to figure out a way to PROVE that I didn't have 2-day handling as the default on my account since I opened it, because, "There is no way that Amazon activated AHT without your agreement." Sure.

All that Amazon wants to do is push us to FBA, and if not, de-list us in favor that those big companies who are.

Hello @aardvark_book_sales @DuckPhatFoods . I am going to follow up with you directly to request more information about these orders.

I also received the following information: The order cut-off time does come into play if you have 0-day handling time set. However, for other orders, cut-off times are not a factor.
