Does anyone know more about gating your brand?

I tried to talk to brand registry about this because we have had repeated issues with our ASINs and are trying to narrow down why these are constantly being flagged as something they are not. Trying to get them fixed is harder than just being preventative.

However, when I asked brand registry for more information, they have straight up ignored my question. No joke, really simple "How do we gate our brand's ASINs" and a lot of nonsense responses. I finally responded "please acknowledge you understand what I am asking" and got a blank response. Seriously...blank with a "Thank you!" lol wow.

Does anyone know how to gate your brand? We have 3 authorized resellers with paperwork, and protecting our brand integrity at this point is our highest priority. It seems it is not happening and need to take further steps since brand registry alone doesn't work. Transparency is out since we ship world-wide and Amazon is only a very tiny portion of our business.

Gating is done by Amazon. Unfortunately, its not something people can get.

If your brand has a high sales velocity and a ton of counterfeit sellers (according to Amazon) Amazon will more than likely gate it.

An example would be successfully reporting lots of counterfeit sellers and having Amazon remove lots of counterfeit sellers. No one knows the exact number you need to become gated.

Hello @Seller_iobipI6xASRkh,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I will try to answer your questions as best as I can.

Selling restrictions or approval requirements for ASINs or brands is not something that you can request as @Seller_vSOOwekJLU6c0 alluded to. These additional measures are determined by Amazon via a myriad of factors and analysis and are applied at Amazon's discretion for the benefit of customers.

I suggest the same as @Seller_vSOOwekJLU6c0 and stay vigilant in properly reporting counterfeits or other forms of IP violations.

If you would like to elaborate a bit more on the issues you are having with your ASINs or if you want to provide 1 of the case ID's that mention the ASIN and the issue, I would be happy to take a look and offer any additional support I can.

Best, Dougal
