Product description required but not supplied - PLEASE HELP
I've been dealing with Amazon's customer support for over 15 days because suddenly some of our listings started being suppressed with the following error: '[product_description]' is required but not supplied.
The strange thing is that all these listings has descriptions and their descriptions are showing in the seller central.
The only thing I see in common in all these suppressed listings is that they are from the same brand and that they were created without UPC with a GTIN exemption we had for the brand.
Does anyone had this issue before? How did you fixed it?

create a case, tell them the problem and ask them directly to transfer the case to the catalog team, they will deal with it. Reopen the case again and again until the catalog team repair the error, that's the only way

If the description is there in the edit listings page, simply add a period (.) to the end so that the system sees something changed.
Blah Blah Blah. (one period at the end)
Blah Blah Blah.. (now with 2 periods at the end)
I had the same thing happen, and that is all I do. edit to add or remove extra periods at the end. the system sees a change in the number of characters so will process it and the listing is live again.

The exact thing happened to me - but the item in question has a UPC.
I haven't been able to fix it yet.

This is a common thing where the Descriptions are deleted from the detail page. There have been a few things I have done to fix this. First on the Manage Inventory page, it will say Search Suppressed on the right side. If you click on this it will take you directly to the missing info which is typically the description. I copy and paste the description here and click save. In many cases this works after about 20 minutes of waiting. When that does not work, I have gone to the Mange Inventory section and clicked on the edit button to go further into the product information. On this page, I read the description and shorten it up. Taking out any information that might be causing issues. The descriptions do not like anything with full caps, so make sure to remove those. For example on one we had a BBQ seasoning, just by changing it to bbq seasoning, it went through. If by removing parts of the description don't help, I have had to open up cases recently and ask them to review the listing and send this to their specialists as there is an issue with the ASIN and the description which we are providing already. Usually after 24 hours of opening the case, mine have been active again. Not sure if this will help anyone, but that is what I have done to fix 95% of our listing suppression issues with the Descriptions getting removed.

I had that happen with a few of our products. Some I was able to get fixed, but some didn't. Nothing in particular worked. I called in, tried what Neverlast tried, and opening a case. It was a hit and miss.
