I'm extremely upset. I paid $80 for a lesson about display advertising.

Over the past month, I frequently received emails from Amazon Advertising with similar content, offering $150 or €150 coupons for display ads and claiming they would provide subsidies if I activated the corresponding ad types.

Today, I followed their instructions and created display ads for two of my ASINs. After just one hour (US time), I checked my ads and found that the budget had been completely exhausted. I created and launched the ads on July 22nd, and the budget was spent on the same day. On July 23rd, just one hour after the start of the day, the budget was again exhausted.

I had set a $20 budget for each of these two campaigns, totaling $80. In reality, the ads did not generate any purchases.

I informed Amazon Advertising support about the rapid spending, explaining that the budget was fully consumed within an hour, and my bid was already the lowest possible. Despite this, I received a cold response from Amazon, stating that this is normal and suggesting I either lower the budget or turn off the ads if I couldn't accept the high ad spending. They also refused to refund the advertising fees.

I understand that this was caused by my own actions and that Amazon won't refund the fees. I also failed to carefully read the terms and conditions, which seem to require the ads to run continuously for 30 days to qualify for the coupon. I'm paying for my mistake, but I feel incredibly frustrated and deceived. Case ID: 15679248571

I might have chosen the wrong ad type. I opted for the $1 per 1000 impressions billing method, which was the lowest price the system allowed. Even so, the ad spending was incredibly fast. I want to warn everyone: if you don't want to have a similar experience to mine, don't allocate a large budget. This type of advertising can burn through your money very quickly, potentially causing significant losses.
