account deactivated for being associated with another account.

My account was deactivated because it was associated with another account. The problem is that my roommate and I both have Amazon accounts. He has his own business and I have mine. We are different people, different businesses, and we sell different things. However, the address and the internet IP are the same. I believe that is why they deactivated it. I have been trying to activate my account for months. I have already sent all possible documents, but I keep receiving automatic messages saying that I need to send a document proving that I was the owner and that I sold the business. How? If I was never the owner of the other account!!!!

We have tried to explain many times and no one helps us. My roommate has already given up and even asked for his account to be canceled, but nothing has happened yet. And the worst part is that I was doing RA on my account and was creating my brand. I was going to stop selling RA and in May I was going to launch my brand. Now what do I do? Does anyone know of an email address I can try to appeal to since I have not received a response via seller central or telephone.

Thanks

"And the worst part is that I was doing RA on my account "

Even if you can clean up the linked accounts (possible but difficult) RA alone would likely be enough to get you suspended eventually. More and more categories/brands are getting shut down for that type of activity so this suspension just saved you from sending in a bunch of inventory with your brand on it. If you had done that and THEN gotten suspended you could/would have lost all the inventory while Amazon went through your entire activity since the account opened!

There have been several recent posts by Amazon about how to work through the process.

Hello,

You need to create Plan of action and understand why your account was deactivated. you need to be clear with amazon .

Plan of Action (POA) for Account Reinstatement

1. Root Cause of the Issue

The deactivation likely occurred because:

My roommate and I share the same residential address and internet connection (IP address).

While we are both Amazon sellers, we operate independent businesses with separate legal entities, bank accounts, and product offerings.

Amazon’s systems may have flagged our accounts as being related due to these shared resources.

2. Steps Taken to Resolve the Issue

To clarify the situation and eliminate any confusion regarding the ownership and independence of my account, I have taken the following steps:

Submitted Documentation: I have already submitted all relevant documents proving the legitimacy and independence of my business, including:

Government-issued ID

Business registration/license

Utility bills in my name

Bank account statements

Detailed Explanation: I previously submitted a detailed explanation of the living situation and business independence.

Networking Separation: I have now taken steps to ensure technical separation, including:

Using a dedicated internet connection (or mobile hotspot) for all Amazon-related activities.

Ensuring devices are no longer shared and using dedicated hardware for Amazon operations.

Ensuring separate user accounts and business records are maintained.

3. Preventative Measures to Avoid Future Issues

To prevent any potential issues moving forward:

I will continue to use a separate internet connection for Amazon-related activities to ensure unique IP addresses.

I will not share any devices or Amazon-related resources with my roommate or any other seller.

I will regularly audit my account to ensure all activity remains compliant with Amazon policies.

I will continue to maintain clear separation of business operations, finances, and infrastructure from my roommate or any other Amazon seller.

4. Clarification Regarding Ownership

Regarding the automated request for documentation showing transfer of ownership:

I am not the owner of the other account.

I have never had access to, managed, or owned the account that Amazon has associated with mine.

There is no business transfer or relationship between our accounts beyond the shared IP and address.

Therefore, I am unable to provide a document of ownership transfer, because no such transfer ever occurred.

Request for Reinstatement

Given the above facts, I respectfully request Amazon to reconsider the deactivation of my account. I am committed to operating my business in full compliance with Amazon’s policies and have taken all necessary steps to ensure complete separation from any other account.

Please let me know if there is any further documentation or clarification I can provide.

Sincerely,

you might legally changing your name, get a new bank account, move to a new address, apply for a new amazon seller account. But even this will most likely fail.
