Help Needed: Trademark Logo Misuse Strike with No Appeal Option
Recently, I received a Trademark Logo Misuse strike for some of my listings. The issue arose because I used listings that apparently had the wrong brand name associated with them—one of which was similar but slightly different. Everything else (UPC, product details, etc.) was identical. As soon as I noticed the discrepancy, I started working to correct the brand name to align with the correct one.
Amazon’s notification indicated that I had two days to submit an appeal. However, after about 24 hours, the option to appeal disappeared, leaving me with no way to contest the strike. Now, these strikes have significantly damaged my account to the point where it’s affecting my ability to create and modify listings.
I piggybacked onto the listings using the correct UPCs and wasn’t given a fair chance to address the issues before my account was impacted. Trying to get help from Amazon support has been incredibly frustrating.
Has anyone else faced this problem? Were you able to resolve it, and if so, how? I would really appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to proceed.

Hello @Canconversion,
Thank you for posting your concerns with a suspected intellectual property violation.

Typically when you experience a trademark misuse or suspected intellectual property violation, we will require that you peruse one of two paths.
Dispute: When you select "submit appeal" from the account health page, you will see at the bottom "if your listing was deactivated in error" you will be provided with the ability to state you are authorized or the listing is unrelated to the mentioned brand. You will need to provide supporting documentation for this to be reviewed for authorization.
Appeal: You will need to push changes on the listing to ensure the logo misuse has been complete removed. You are not authorized by the brand to update or attempt to change the brand you will not be able too, attempting to do so can result in a potential violation or deactivation.
We will typically in the appeals window request the following:
How to address the listing violation?
Products should be listed under the correct brand name intended by the owner of the trademark or the registered brand name. If the brand name for this listing is currently blank or has an invalid name, update the correct or complete brand name.
If you acknowledge the image(s) on the product detail page that contains a trademarked logo belonging to another rights owner, edit the ASIN’s detail page in one of the following ways before appealing:
1. Remove the trademarked logo from all images entirely; for example, upload new images to the listing without any trademarked logos (or)
2. Change the brand name to accurately reflect the product and match trademarked logo used on the product detail page (or)
3. Update the detail page to add compatibility terms before the trademarked term, if the product is using the trademarked term to refer to another product; for example, “charger for Kindle E-Reader”, “charger compatible with Kindle E-Reader”, “charger made for Kindle E-Reader.”
If you are unable to manually update these listings, you may need to use an inventory file to help push changes you're suggesting. I would suggest reviewing our Inventory file upload: FAQ if you need additional guidance on using the file upload process. When uploading if successful listings should update, if they do not please provide the ASIN, Batch ID so we can look further into the situation.
