Wanting to sell my brand. Does amazon allow transfer or sale of brand ownership to another existing amazon seller?
I understand that seller account ownership is generally not transferrable on Amazon. What about selling a brand, is this different? Does anyone have experience with the Amazon end of this? The bits and pieces I have found on the forums specifically related to brand transfer seem to circle back to transferring the entire seller account in some way (which is generally not transferrable).
I am brand registered and my trademark is on file with Amazon. My trademarked brand is also a legally filed dba.
If I sell my brand does Amazon allow the brand transfer to another amazon seller? If so, what is the process (on Amazon's end)?
If this is possible to do, do the product reviews and ratings attached to the brands products transfer with the brand or will the new seller essentially be starting all over again without my brand's existing reviews and ratings?

you can sell the brand, however, the people/company buying the brand needs to open a new Amazon account. They can use the same listing, but not the same account

Someone posted about this last week. I believe they said that Amazon was expecting them to open an entirely new account and go through registering the product again or apply for catagory approval. Something that made it quite the hassle after they had already bought the account. It was uncertain on if they would be able to sell the product.

If your brand is filed with the USPTO you will (probably) need to get that changed as well because Amazon WILL verify ownership there.
It does NOT sound like a do-it-yourself type of project which is why attorneys make the big bucks!
