SAFE-T Claim Denied because I have Free Returns, but I do NOT offer "FREE Returns".

we raised case 17510066381 with Seller Support 2 month ago and get the same daily update which says

"We would like to inform that we are working with our internal team to reach a resolution on your case and prioritize to complete the investigation as soon as possible."

This is not the first time I have had this issue with a SAFE-T Claim, but it continues to be denied so I decided to post here. The buyer returned an item that did not have the "Free Returns" badge, and it is not in any category that requires free returns. She claimed the item was defective, but the returned item was returned in perfect condition in the original unopened packaging. Her return reason should have been "no longer needed," and she should have been charged for the return shipping.

My SAFE-T Claim was denied with the reason: "The item for which you requested a reimbursement of the cost of the return label is eligible for free Returns."

My return settings are set to NOT offer free returns and none of my listings show that I offer free returns.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

here is a list of wrongly decided Safe-T claim due to incorrect categorization of our Surfboard Bags as "Fashion Clothing"

claims are starting to pile up, and we are fronting all the cost - in contradiction to Amazon policy - can we please get a bulk correction made on these wrongly decided Safe-T cases once the incorrect "Free Returns" status is removed from our bags?

1. 114-9651680-4043453

2. 112-2007894-3937839

3. 112-5237308-3013838

4. 114-0305250-5067458

5. 111-5146938-1113810

also how many more months do you expect us to wait before Amazon fixes the incorrect Free Returns status on these Non Fashion and Non Clothing items?

thankyou

I've had this happen before. I believe it is one of the denial reasons they pull out of their hat when they have handed out their ration of Safe-T claims.

No amount of proof will change their decision.

Hopefully, this will not cost you too much, but probably best to just move on.

We have to appeal every SAFE-T Claim numerous times about this exact issue. Sometimes we are eventually successful, sometimes we are not. I think it depends on who is reviewing the case.

NO ONE can tell me why we supposedly offer "Free Returns" when our settings state otherwise.

With the overinflated return shipping costs, (Amazon provides a label for ridiculously expensive return postage), this is really hurting us.

We have had the same problem over and over. We do not offer free returns either. I have a feeling the people in the overseas call centers who process these cases have a list of responses to give for denial. I wholeheartedly believe they have a ( deny depose defend ) sign taped to the top of there computer monitors.

Most of the time your first try at the safe-t claim will get you a instant bot denial. The second try will get one of these garbage reasons for denial. Unfortunately you will have to keep up with this back and forth for a minimum of 4 times before maybe a competent person gives a look at your case, and hopefully they come to the correct decision. Is it worth the time and effort? probably not in a business sense, but it is the principal of it all that should keep you motivated to continue.
