Additional Shipping Charges

Amazon,

Order ID: # 111-0692003-9714658

The Customer placed the order on Sat, Jan 11, 2025, at 4:38 AM PST.

The order was successfully shipped on Mon, Jan 13, 2025.

Carrier name - Roadrunner. Tracking number - 639629765.

The shipment was successfully delivered and accepted on 01/15/2025.

On 01/19/2025 the Customer sent the return request. This request was Auto-authorized.

The Customer received an unpaid return shipping label provided by Amazon.

Carrier: UPS

Tracking ID: 1ZH92F629048296217

On Jan 25, 2025 we received our item back and issued a full refund to this customer.

However, on 2/6/2025 Amazon charged us [-$1,718.54] transaction type "Shipping services purchased through Amazon".

The shipping services purchased for the package did not match the carrier-reported charge for shipping the package:

Customer Entered Dimensions: 14 X 10 X 6 IN

Weight: 7 LB

Carrier Audited Dimensions: 87.0 X 10.0 X 31.0 IN

Weight: 7 LB

Other chargeback

$170.00

Other chargeback

-$249.09

Other chargeback

-$1,325.00

Other chargeback

-$72.15

Other chargeback

-$250.00

Amount already paid:

$7.70

Total Charge from Carrier

-$1,726.24

Transaction Total

[-$1,718.54]

We completely disagree with this transaction, and we are trying to dispute it.

First, this label was provided by Amazon.

Nobody from Amazon asked if we approve the cost of the return shipping or not. Amazon just charges $1,718.54] without any notice. This is just a robbery.

Another thing, as you can see, the Customer entered incorrect dimensions.

Customer Entered Dimensions: 14 X 10 X 6 IN

Weight: 7 LB

Carrier Audited Dimensions: 87.0 X 10.0 X 31.0 IN

Weight: 7 LB

It was customer's fault, the customer put the dimensions incorrectly. Amazon should dispute with Carrier and Customer, not just charging us this large amount of money without any notice.

We tried to contact Amazon to discuss the issue and resolve it, but as a result, we received simply dry answers from support not located in the US. [Case Log ID: 17218653861].

We ask you to act and help us in this situation.

Please let us know if you need any additional information from that can help you.

We hope for your help and look forward to your response.

Thank you!

Hello @Seller_WXXA6Jh1fGpz7- and thank you for looking to the forums for some guidance on these carrier adjustments. You can refer to the policy page on Carrier shipping correction charges for context.

I can help share some resources that might be useful in navigating this now and for future orders. For "High price items: High-value items (price exceeding $100) that need special shipping (for example, items that require special shipping insurance)", you may request a SKU exemption for Prepaid returns. Please see this page on Prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders for additional information.

Also of note is this news announcement around a New feature to update product dimensions and weight for return labels, and the context available on this recent forums thread on a similar topic.

I hope these resources are useful, and I appreciate you surfacing this through the forums.

Best regards,

Danny
