Marketplace withheld tax- Canada
We made a mistake!
Last year, we registered for a GST/HST number with CRA and ASSUMED that we had provided the number to Amazon only to find out now Amazon was withholding taxes all year round.
Since Amazon didn't pay us the taxes, how do we report our GST/HST returns? is there a document or something we can provide to CRA that we were never paid sales taxes by Amazon. My accountant says he will need some document to prove Amazon withheld the tax.
Can someone please help?
