Marketplace Charge

Hello Everyone!

I am new to selling on amazon. I created an individual selling account for USA marketplace only. But somehow, it is showing Canada and Mexico as well and would not let me go further without choosing .ca and .com.mx for payment methods as well. So my question is, will i be charged for all the marketplaces separately? if yes, what is the solution to this problem as i am only looking to sell on .com.

Check in your account settings to make sure you do indeed have an Individual account rather than Professional. Amazon has been known to default new accounts to a Pro account, they get $39.99 per month until you downgrade. The Pro account does include Canada and Mexico.

When you signed up for your account you choose the North America Unified account option.

With a North America and Brazil Unified Account, you can conveniently switch between Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.com.mx, and Amazon.com.br seller tools in Seller Central to list products and manage orders in all stores.

If you do not wish to sell in a certain store, you can delete any active listings and remove inventory in that store. You can then put that store into vacation mode.

North America and Brazil Unified Account FAQ

Your monthly Professional selling plan subscription fee will be allocated to each North American store in which you have active listings on your monthly billing day, and will be limited to USD 39.99 or its equivalent in total. For more information about Professional selling plan fees, go to Selling on Amazon Fee Schedule.
