Box-level defects but pictures are not from my Shipment

FBA shipments I do go as usual, some arrive some might get lost then found a few month later and many arrive well and in time.

Now I got a Box-level defect stating that I got my weight and size wrong (maybe my scale was wrong by an OZ?).

The case was open and I got pictures from the stated box and... It is not the box I used in the shipment; not the same size, a different brand of box and a very different way to close the box; STILL my shipment label was attached to it.

I use small boxes of 18x14x10" from Uline and are glued. The pictures from the box correspond to a bigger 18x18x18 box all taped BUT my label is attached to it with tape. And the case states that I sent a 53 Lbs box.

Should I start printing and marking my FBA shipment's boxes to avoid "someone else" use my box to send items into Amazon FBA warehouse? Whats inside that bigger box that someone attached my label to it? When did someone took my shipment label and used it? Should I be worried?

As for Shipment-level and content, the whole shipment arrived in time and there were no missing items.

Has any of you found your shipments in a similar situation?

I haven't had the same issue, so I have no advice there, only empathy.

I found that my golden rule for sending to FBA is to overlabel all boxes and photograph everything.

What I do is this: Each box gets a label and pack list inside, and 6 copies of the label on the outside (one copy on all sides, even top and bottom). Then, when the boxes are palletized, I photograph the pallet in three directions (both front/left and back/right sides, and a top-down angle) , and make sure labels are clear and readable in the photos.

I also put a sticker on each side of the box (again, including top and bottom) with my brand name.

My products are wrapped individually inside these boxes as ready-to-ship items, but with a brand sticker and an FNSKU sticker on the outside.

I used to have a LOT of issues with misplacement of items, and miscounts, but they're mostly handled since I started doing this. Of course - now that my products go all over the country with the new system instead of the same place I shipped for years, counts are a bit more squirrely than they used to be, but I suspect that's a different issue entirely and not one I can correct.

Good luck.
