My book content plagiarized and republished - anyone else have this happen?
I authored a book that was published in 2020. It has sold well, although I was not the publisher, it was a "for hire" contract. It was in the "How To" category. Recently I have been contacted by customers who reported that the entire content was lifted and republished (including images) under another title and attributed to a "self-published", non-existent author. It is a fictional author name. The ISBN number listed is not a valid ISBN. The book and the author do not exist, yet Amazon is selling it. When I reported this stolen content and asked for an investigation, I got an immediate reply that "no violation was found". Considering that their version of my book is not available in digitized form, it is remarkable that it only took Amazon 10 seconds to research it and determine that no plagiarism had taken place. Obviously this seems very suspicious to me.
Of course, when you click on "Read sample", it shows only the title pages and a random picture. If it showed content, it would be a smoking gun that would show the book was stolen.
Anybody else have this happen?

Hi @Seller_MvpCeVtbz69bD
My name is Sandy from the Amazon Community manager team. Would you please provide me a case/complaint ID in which you reported this ASIN?
I would like to investigate and escalate to appropriate partner teams for additional review.
