Amazon doesn't let me offer FREE shipping

Hi, I've been dealing with this for weeks now. Every time I change my shipping template, Amazon changes it back to the original one shortly after.

I want to offer free shipping to my customers and I literally can't do that. Right now my shipping is $17.99 for some products so surely this is hurting my sales.

I've tried changing the shipping in inventory manager (one at a time, multiple at a time) and it never works. I've also tried for one product to update it with a file import, and it still didn't work. I must've tried two dozen times by now. It either doesn't change at all or it changes and then goes right back to what it was.

These are all FBM products on the Canadian marketplace.

I've contacted amazon support and after dozens of back and forth messages, they haven't helped me. The process is they tell me They've escalated this to the relevant team > Then they tell me the relevant team fixed it (without any details) > Still doesn't work. Then it repeats over and over again like a bad nightmare. (Case ID 15745321631)

They've also changed the shipping themselves, and it went right back 20 mins after.

Has anyone had this problem before? How could this very basic and essential function be broken?

I'll be eternally grateful if someone helps me with this.

Hello, @Seller_JVcFOeJw119Lf,

Thank you for reaching out to us with this situation. This is Sunnie, from Amazon, and I will be glad to assist you.

Looking at the internal investigations, it looks like the system is processing your feed correctly as it is, however, the feed does not result in free shipping (or so they say). Although it seems like you are only updating Weight-based general template (5fxd + 1.3 per kg) with your template.

Please go to:

  1. Settings > Shipping Settings > Weight-based general template (5fxd + 1.3 per kg)
  2. Settings > Shipping Settings > Dock lights (14+3.99 Standard OR 58+1.99 Exp)
  3. Settings > Shipping Settings > Default (Standard only at 75 + 50 cents per kg)

Once in each one of the templates, please edit them to reflect the shipping charges you wish to offer. If your changes are reverted, please create a new case with the support team, and share a screenshot of the settings you set, and the settings that were changed to. If you still need assistance, please send me your Case ID and I will gladly follow-up for you.

Regards,

Sunnie
