OnTrac Tracking not updateing for customers due to known issue by Amazon, yet they issue refunds left and right
We use OnTrac quite a bit for FBM shipments and always confirm the shipment with correct tracking numbers.
However, Amazon currently has a known issue, and their systems do not receive tracking updates from OnTrac as confirmed by seller support:
"We have received an update from our internal team on the previous investigation that was raised and our team confirmed that the Lasership tracking ids are having issues in fetching tracking information. Our team is currently working on fixing the issue with Lasership tracking ids and Hence we would suggest you to use a different carrier until the issue is resolved."
What does that mean? Despite receiving the packages (luckily OnTrac provides proof of delivery pics), customers are emailing us left and right about missing packages. Some going so far and filing A-Z claims which Amazons grants them, despite us providing the valid tracking info.
Insanity??
