I'm trying to create my first shipment but got cubic error

I'm a new seller still learning as much as I can. I understood that we have the Standard size storage Capacity Limit of 15 cubic feet, but supposedly there is no restriction for New Seller up until 39 weeks. I opened my account in December 2024 so I'm pretty sure I'm still within the deadline. I didn't expect to have such error so I exceeded by 3 cubic feet than the standard limit. As a new seller, I'm already reading a lot and it's getting frustrating to understand these errors so if anyone could spoonfeed me with solution or explanation just once, please help.

Hi @Seller_O8zDM7cxsLqZS

Here’s what I think is happening:

  • If you’re on an Individual selling plan, your FBA storage limit is fixed at 15 cubic feet (and can’t be raised).
  • If you’re on a Professional plan and your account is under 39 weeks old, you shouldn’t have a standard storage limit at all.

You can check which plan you’re on by going to Settings > Account Info. If it turns out you’re on the Individual plan, that’s almost certainly the reason for the cap - you mentioned trying to ship 18 cubic feet (so exceeding the 15 cu ft limit Amazon applies for Individual accounts).

You can read more about how FBA capacity limits work here (link). And for more on what the Individual vs. Professional plans offer (and the differences), here’s the Selling Plans overview (link)

If you’re on Individual, your two main options are:

  • Adjust your shipment to fit within the 15 cubic foot limit, or
  • Upgrade to the Professional plan if you want to send in more at once

Best regards,

Michael
