Denied AZ claim. USPS lost package.

so we had a order purchased through the Amazon buy shipping US Postal Service ground advantage. And the package was lost in the tracking. It just says delayed in transit pack is nowhere to be found. It was not delivered. But the shipping was purchased through Amazon. But when I filed the claim, because Amazon gave the customer a refund of $163. Amazon denied the claim and said that they’re not responsible for it because the package wasn’t delivered. We bought the shipping through Amazon which is supposed to be insured correct me if I’m wrong I’m sick and tired of this boilerplate BS.

Does the tracking info show a USPS origin scan within the "on time" handling time frame? If so, I'd assume the refund was given through an A to Z claim. Appeal the claim with all the appropriate information.

Of course, creating the label isn't enough for Amazon to consider the package to be shipped "on time", it needs the USPS origin scan that reads "Arrived as USPS facility" or similar.

Sorry was a SAFE T claim. we filed bc amazon refunded customer for a lost package by USPS we paid for through amazon buy shipping...

Even if it shows package is running late Amazon does not consider this as shipped. It needs to show arrival at a facility. We have had many like this both usps and ups. It will show running late but if it gets lost before the facility scan, Amazon denies the claim. It is really unfair and we have tried fighting it but never helps. Sorry for the bad news.

Hi,

You need to also file a claim to USPS at USPS website. I believe that Ground Advantage covers $100 which is better than nothing. In case, Amazon does not issue you refund for the T-Safe.

You can try to claim the lost package by contacting Amazon seller support. Ask Amazon to reimburse your loss because you use Amazon's shipping service.

For THIS ORDER, the customer did nothing wrong because he/she didn't receive the package; Amazon did nothing wrong as well.

The only thing that went wrong was the shipping service which you used the "buy shipping" service, and the account is owned by Amazon.

So you only are available to open a case and ask for reimbursement.

P.S. Save all screenshots. Attach them to your case. Amazon seller support team won't spend time opening links one by one.

It is not Amazon's responsibility! Think! Use your brain! Amazon covers packages that are clearly delivered but the buyer "can't find it." Amazon knows the buyers are scammers and cheats and do what they can to help us out. This package wasn't delivered at all. Why would you expect Amazon to cover that cost???? The post office lost the package. Ground Advantage gets automatic insurance just like Priority. for $163 I would have purchased even more. Did you? You file a claim with USPS and they'll send you a check. they have not failed me since they switched from First Class to GA so it should be fine. Not Amazon's responsibility. It is USPS's responsibility.

You are not alone Seller-funded: Mar 27 bOrder Defect Rate (ODR) impacted: Yes This seems to be the new normal so when these items get delivered you take the total loss instead of customers needing to return items if they no longer wand due to post office delay not keep item.

Amazon will cover it, but you have to go past the appeal and open a case. Then once they ignore you, come back here and complain to the moderators, then if that fails, send email to jeff@amazon.com, they do have to honor their policies they just make you work real hard for it. It's not right, but, that is the answer unfortunately.

Then once they ignore you, come back here and complain to the moderators, then if that fails, send email to jeff@amazon.com, they do have to honor their policies they just make you work real hard for it. It's not right, but, that is the answer unfortunately.
