Exemption for expiration-dated products if the brand/asin is Brand Registered. How I know if I am expemt?

I was successfully approved for the Brand Registry.

However I can not tell if my product is exempt for expiration dated products.

I want to use manufacture codes to track my inventory, not the Amazon FNSKU.

If I am approved for the Brand Registry, are my products automatically exempt from being required to use FNSKUs even if my product is "expiration dated products"?

Hi @Seller_CuWxeWG6MZJfa,

Being approved for the Brand Registry alone doesn't automatically exempt you from FNSKU requirements for expiration-dated products. Here's what the help pages say:

According to "Using manufacturer barcodes with FBA virtual tracking" (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G200141480), expiration-dated products are generally not eligible for virtual tracking.

While the "FBA virtual tracking FAQ" (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GEFKUGES6NSE7CBP) mentions that Brand Registry members may be able to get exemptions, the process isn't clearly outlined in the help pages. Since you already have Brand Registry, I'd recommend contacting Seller Support to discuss how to enroll your ASINs in the virtual tracking program with the necessary exemption for expiration-dated products.

Kind regards, Michael

Easy. No products are exempt if they have an expiration dote on them.

Hi @Seller_CuWxeWG6MZJfa

My name is Sandy from the Community Manager team.

As a few sellers have called out here, approval in Brand registry does not exempt you from expiration dated products.

Please review the Expiration-dated product attributes help page. If you don’t know the shelf life of your product, go to Expiration dates on FBA products and follow the guidelines.

Thank you!

Sandy
