Sold as Set packaging question

Hi everybody, just trying to eliminate (or not) any redundancies in our warehouse so I have a question:

We realize that sets such as the one in the amazon packaging video (set of a bunch of little individually wrapped chocolate milk cartons) will need a sold as set label. Or a 3 pack of books in stretch wrap or poly bag, for example, will also need the label

Is a "sold as set" or "do not separate" label required for sets packaged directly by the manufacturer for sale as 1 unit? For example, take a 10 pack of bare, loose light bulbs that are packed in colorful retail packaging with an outside UPC?

Now does that need a set label on it?

I don't think it technically needs a 'sold as set' label....but in our experience, it's best to just add it to *everything* that's sold as a set -- whether it's in a set retail packaging or not.

Now as far as you light bulb example -- make sure that they are packaged well enough to withstand the warehouse. Can you drop it from 3 and 6 feet (on all sides) and not loose a bulb? If not, you probably want to invest in some extra packaging and/or do FBM with them.

Hi @Seller_pyCNvcu4niexi,

Thank you for reaching out on the Seller Forums! Happy to see that you have received some great advice in the replies here.

If you would like to sell units as one set, you will need to add a label to the set that clearly states that the products are to be received and sold as a single unit.

Additionally, you'll want to ensure that the barcodes on the individual units are not facing outward or the barcodes must be covered. This helps ensure that fulfillment center associates scan the barcode for the pack, not the barcode for the individual units inside.

I hope this helps clarify! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

All the best,

Jameson
