EPA Pesticide Registration Certificate/Number not being accepted

Seller Support is not accepting my EPA Pesticide Registration Certificate.

Every time I upload the EPA Pesticide Registration Certificate, Seller Support denies my appeals saying I need to provide EPA Pesticide Registration Certificate or Number.

Anyone experienced the same? Would appreciate any insight or guidance. I am at my wit's end.

Hi @Seller_TJ4zWZlCZoDuh,

I think I might know what's happening here. Looking at the Pesticide Marking help page (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GLX9EJX844SNJX7J), the EPA number needs to be entered in a specific way through the listing settings, rather than just uploading the certificate.

Here's what you could try:

  • Go to Inventory > Manage Inventory
  • Edit your listing and select Advanced View
  • Navigate to the Compliance tab
  • Look for the Pesticide Marking attribute
  • Select "EPA Registration Number" from the dropdown
  • Choose "This product is a pesticide or pesticide device"
  • Enter your EPA Registration number exactly as it appears on your product label

The help page mentions under "FAQ" that the number should be preceded by "EPA Registration No." or "EPA Reg. No." on your product label.

Also, just to double-check - have you completed the pesticide training course? The Pest Control Products help page (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G202115120) mentions this needs to be completed with an 80% or higher score before being able to list pesticide products.

Best regards, Michael

Thank you for the information provided regarding the recent issues you have had with the EPA compliance. I know it can be frustrating when you are attempting to provide the necessary documents, and so I would like to review this situation to better understand what is preventing you from moving forward. Do you have a specific case ID that you have been working on that you could share with our team?

In addition to this, we would advise on verifying that you do have the details regarding the EPA certificate also in your listing and have completed the mentioned pesticide course as suggested by @Seller_i6S8knzW6zU6Z. If you have done this, we will then request that you double check to ensure the details in the listing match the certificate exactly.

If you have any other details or updates regarding this situation, we will request that you provide them to this thread so we may further review to understand what is occurring.

Best,

Atlas
