Deactivated/Unhealthy Canada Store

Hello, We have a deactivated banner in the Canada store. We have not and will never sell on the Canada platform. They are accusing us of having multiple accounts. Should we be concerned? Thank you for your time and for your help.

You should be concerned but not because of your Canada store. Your Canada store comes with your USA store + Mexico store.

You should be concerned if you are being accused of something. Are you being accused by Amazon? What message did you get?

I understand you have concerns about being related to another account on your Canada marketplace. I would like to provide further insight into the applicable policies.

First, I would like to ask if you have the performance notification you received when that marketplace is deactivated? If so, do not hesitate to provide it here while removing personal information.

Anytime personal information- such as a phone number, e-mail, or IP address- is shared between multiple accounts, a relationship is established. Once that relationship between the accounts is established, it is difficult for Amazon to automatically determine they are not owned and operated by the same person or business, which brings the account under the umbrella of the seller code of conduct and multiple accounts.

Per this policy, all sellers may only maintain one selling account unless there is a legitimate business need to have more than one. Examples of a legitimate business justification include:

  • You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
  • You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
  • You are recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts

If these instances applies and you are able to have multiple accounts, all accounts must remain in good standing. For example, if one account gets deactivated, all accounts will get deactivated. This also holds valid for accounts related to each other.

It is important to examine that notification you received, as it should contain the name of the account with which yours is related. Ultimately, you will need to consider what information is being shared and how it is on both accounts if you do not own the other.

I also urge you to view the follow two seller university videos, as there valuable insight on how to proceed.

  1. Comply with Amazon's Multiple Account Policy
  2. Address a Multiple Account policy violation

Please view the videos and other pages I have provided and continue to update this thread with more questions or relevant information.

The forums community and I are here to support you,

Stevie

We have the same problem and there is a disturbing unhealthy tag on the front of the store 24/7.

It is STRESSFUL~!!!! It's ABUSIVE~!!! Stop showing these ridiculous banners that don't have anything to do with the store we are selling from. I am SO SICK of this stupid Inform Act and do not want to sell out of the country anymore, either. I don't see a way to delete the Canada and Mexico stores.

If you know anything about the Law of Attraction, you would not want your sellers looking at these warning labels all the time. I used to come here all the time to try to improve and now I just avoid it. I do most everything from my phone so I don't see all the disturbing imagery. Before anyone heckles me about the Law of Attraction - ask yourselves why Amazon and every site puts up badges and bells and whistles? What affect do you think negative imagery has?

there's way too many issues with the automatic selling on canada and mexico that probably are so hidden in the fine print its not worth it. I pulled all my listings from them and never looked back. between getting dinged for nonsensical violations on them that aren't the same as the US (with getting every email from .mx in spanish) and listings being either totally different or otherwise removed and getting violations for things I'm putting up because they're not applicable on those sites, on top of not being able to get FBA inventory back, and getting absolutely destroyed on additional fees, its not worth it. and technically, you'd owe those countries taxes too.

There seems to be a trend here. I thought it was just me and a few others but the forums are full of sellers with the same issue. We're being accused of operating multiple accounts, but this is absolutely not true. I've appealed to Amazon numerous times. They keep asking for supporting documentation that we don't operate other accounts. Aside from a statement, there is no documentation to send because there is no other account. How about Amazon send me proof that I'm in violation, which they cant. If Amazon is listening, please stop letting the bots run the show and hire some people with common sense.
