Hand blown glass animal figurine suppressed because it has been identified as a pesticide product

I've had 12 of my listings deactivated in the last two days because Amazon is mistakenly identifying my products as pesticides.

Our products are handcrafted glass animal figurines, entirely made from glass. There are no components of our products that involve living organisms, pesticides, or pesticide devices.

Our figurines are intended solely for home decoration or as collectible items. There are no claims about the removal or prevention of any living organisms in the product descriptions, images, or labeling.

I suspect this might be a glitch in Amazon's system. Can anyone assist me with resolving this issue?

Happens all the time. Arguing with Amazon would be like explaining it to a 12 month old. Just take the pesticide course and ignore it.

There's likely a keyword in your listing that's triggering the flag. Figure out what it is and then appeal saying that it was a mistake. If you need assistance you can call amazon's support for help. This is a common issue that occurs because certain keywords flag review.

I had a listing for a bird feeder and in the bullets it said that it was "squirrel resistant." After much trial and error trying to figure it out, it was the word "resistant" that caused Amazon to block the listing as a pesticide.

As I previously posted, I had a lot of my listings inactivated by Amazon. I was able to get them all reactivated very simply and quickly.... by following the instuctions provided by Amazon documentation, NOT useless seller support.

You must edit the listings. In my case, I am the creator of all the listings, I don't know if that was pertinant. You cannot edit inactive listings through the manage inventory web page. You have to upload a spreadsheet. I've always done mass edits that way, as I make over 2000 items. If you do not have a current spreadsheet of your listings, grab your Category Listings Report from: Menu>>Reports>>Inventory Reports. This report contains every tidbit of information for every item in your inventory. Learn how to use it. It is the most valuable tool you have, other than your brain (and a thermal label printer!) Open this spreadsheet with your supercomputer (it has like a million resource hogging scripts) KNOW what you are doing with it. It's really pretty simple, but you can easily mess up your listings with one simple mistake. Read the instructions if you are unfamiliar! Make sure the "Update Delete" column reads 'PartialUpdate'. (I learned that the hard way many years ago...) Click the little "2" button at the top left to expand all columns. Scroll way over to the Compliance section, currently purple on my sheet. Find the first "Pesticide Marking" column. Select 'EPA Registration Number' Find the "Pesticide Registration Status" column. Select 'This product is not a pesticide or pesticide device...' You can copy and paste into a range of rows if you have a lot to edit... (Learn the basics of Excel)

Save and upload. Be patient. It took about 2 hours for all 979 listings to come back to life, eliminating stranded FBA units, including those that had been removed, not just made inactive.

And Forever Curse the AI bot that forced you to waste valuable time, (and the human idiot that set up and pulled the trigger on that bot)

Typically with products that are unrelated to a pesticide, it could be related to a potential claim or mention of specific phrasing in the listing or images. Have you reviewed the listing for any of the phrasing listed in our pesticide help page?

As mentioned by @Seller_1F3cC3JUIOojA, you can use this process to push updates to your listings if manual updates are not being saved successfully.

Happens all the time. Arguing with Amazon would be like explaining it to a 12 month old. Just take the pesticide course and ignore it.

If you have not completed this, you can find the pesticide quiz here.

Thank you so much for your advice, I will try. That is true that I cannot edit my listing if it is inactive, thanks.

We have had a lot of luck successfully appealing these and having them reinstated.

Had the same issue with our plastic lip balm holder. Amazon thought it was a consumable because we had it in the "Beauty" category. INCREDIBLY frustrating. I spent weeks until I got a Seller Service Rep who knew how to and was willing to change the product category on the back end.
