Sourcing Cost Reimbursement
We all knew this program would have issues (likely intentionally as they rip us off) but some of this stuff is egregious. We have a lot of SKUs so we have spent that last few days submitting documents on a bunch of items.
1. The ones they have done the worst job pricing don't even let you submit documentation. They just get immediately denied because there are too far outside the range. So Amazon messes up the sourcing cost and then doesn't even give sellers the ability to try to remedy their mistake.
2. We have sent them over 100 invoices from the exact same manufacturer. Exact same. Somehow they determined that 10 of these "Proof of value document does not meet requirements." with of course in the only way Amazon knows how to do business, no explanation as to what the issue is. Can anyone at Amazon explain how the exact same documents meet the requirements for some items and not others? So we tried to start the process over again for the items they denied and now we are getting "Number of attempts exceeded". So in very standard Amazon fashion, you guys mess up how to read an invoice and then because of your mistakes you hurt small businesses and give them no shot to fix it.
I should not be surprised at all as corporations like Amazon just see small businesses as marks to be taken advantage of in any possible way they can so they can make their rich shareholders even richer. So now not only do Amazon's mistakes of not being able to properly check items in enrich Amazon but then their ability to not even do sourcing right will also be a net gain for them. They have figured out that the policy of "ineptness" is actually profitable. What an absolute sham.

It's a scam. I can't foresee how anyone can afford to use the FBA system if this continues. I hear over and over again from customers that Prime is not 2 days anymore. Closer to 5 days and yet their solutions to the problem is just to fee to death the sellers that are actually getting the channel filled. Insane. If you figure out if there's another place to appeal and upload please post back in here. We're in desperate need as well.

Instead of Amazon actually trying to fix the root of the problem, their faults and operations, they decided to once again offset all the costs towards the sellers so they don't have to do anything.
It is similar to the digital service tax, instead of us being able to include it in our tax returns, they decided to make it a cost for us so they can cash in.
Absolute lowest of the bar behavior.

What can we expect from Amazon? Can you expect they admit they can make profits out of it? Amazon said hey your product is lost and we will reimburse you around 30% of the price and then Amazon can add an offer with a lower price than yours under the same listing.

Can someone from Amazon explain this to me like I am 5. These are the same invoices from the same manufacturer. In a few cases they are the EXACT SAME DOCUMENTS. As in, one SKU on the invoice was approved for an update in the cost and another was not. The fact that Amazon comes at these things in such a clownish way where we are at the whims of one person deciding the document is good and another that is not is so beyond wild. One of the largest corps in the world can't even come up with standards that can be followed across multiple employees.

This is a scam. My guess - the same chinese sellers that have figured out how to scam Amazon and consumers figured out how to scam FBA as well.
Imagine - seller claims they are selling 14K gold- listing says metal stamp 14K - seller gets it removed from FBA - claims its not stamped - which its not, and claims its a different item. Amazon reimburses.
So what does Amazon do- as always punishes honest sellers

This is a scam- when I saw they were going to use "manufacure cost" or cost to make or whatever I questioned it - I even asked my SAS rep- so Amazon is going to use ceiling numbers - look at the ceiling pick a number.
We are in the jewelry space and Amazon has values lower than the intinsici value of the gold, so Amazon "thinks" and I use that term loosely , that they can manufacture karat gold jewelry for less than the intrinisc value of the gold.
