Tax ID Verification - INFORM Act Tax Questionnaire - My account has been deactivated due to Tax Info (cannot change address & verify)

Hello,

As you know we have had warning of the INFORM Act Tax Questionnaire for some time on our amazon seller account.

I am not US citizen or resident. I am from Canada. I have a LLC in US. I use My LLC's business address on my Amazon seller account. I already verified Identity, Phone Number, Bank Account, Business Address except Tax ID (always pending).

Under the INFORM Act Tax Questionnaire, the address is incorrect which is why I believe the tax ID cannot be verified. Amazon just mixes my business address in the USA with my registered address in Canada together under the INFORM Act Tax Questionnaire and does not allow me to make any changes.

I’ve tried to update the tax information within legal identity countless times but it is never reflected under the tax information within the INFORM Act Tax Questionnaire.

Furthermore, I have reached out to account health but they have been no help either. The only response I am getting is we are working with the internal team to find a resolution. Beyond frustrated with Amazon and it doesn’t help that Amazon wants to dispose of my inventory as well… How can I update address to verify my tax ID? Someone please help!

Normally, if you are a single member LLC, then you would complete the tax interview as an individual.

  • Are you a single member LLC?
  • Do you have an EIN for your LLC?

If you are a single member LLC, have you tried getting verified as an individual using the EIN?

I appreciate you providing insight to the issue with your account. I was able to research your information and see you have recently completed all aspects of the INFORM Consumers Act versification. At this point, it takes anywhere from 48 to 72 hours on average for the account to be reactivated, but it could take a little extra time than intended as there have been an influx of verification documents.

Please confirm if you are also seeing all of your information as being verified.
